A Heartfelt Thank You to Omeriye Foundation and Harmony Institute During Eid-ul-Adha

Eid Al -Udha Celebration
As the world marked Eid-ul-Adha, a time of sacrifice, generosity, and compassion, we at JPIC Franciscans Africa were deeply moved by the generosity of our partners at the Omeriye Foundation and the Harmony Institute.
This year, thanks to their incredible support, we were able to share the joy of Eid with the people we serve. Their donation of 200 meat packages brought smiles, dignity, and a warm meal to many who might not have otherwise experienced the celebration in full.
Where the Support Went
The meat packages were distributed thoughtfully and fairly to various groups and communities in need:
- Needy university students struggling with daily sustenance.
- Franciscan members across 50 communities, supporting our mission across the region.
- Savelberg Technical Training School, which trains youth from low-income families in Dagoretti and Kalinde slums.
- Refugees living in Kawangware, facing daily uncertainty and hardship.
- An orphanage in Kiserian, Kajiado, offering shelter and hope to vulnerable children.
- Formation houses preparing young people for a life of service.
- Benedictine monks in Kiserian, who live a life of prayer and dedication.
- Security guards from Kalinde slum, often underpaid yet crucial to our community’s safety.
- Olomunyak,Reto and Olepolos community in Isinya, where more than 70 families came—although only 50 packages were planned, we ensured everyone left with something.
More Than a Meal
In these difficult economic times, many families cannot afford basic necessities, let alone meat. Through this charitable gesture, hundreds of people were reminded that they are not alone.
Each recipient expressed heartfelt gratitude—not just for the meat, but for the generosity and solidarity behind it. It was a powerful reminder of the shared humanity that underpins our mission.
With Deepest Appreciation
We understand that this kind of support requires significant effort—logistics, coordination, and funding. We cannot thank the Omeriye Foundation and Harmony Institute enough for their dedication and care.
May your work continue to grow, and may many more be blessed through your mission of love and service.
Thank you. Asanteni sana.
