JUSTICE PEACE AND INTEGRITY OF CREATION ANIMATORS TRAINING -AT Franciscan family center -Nairobi
The office of justice, peace and integrity of creation Franciscans Africa, An office that was established to animate Franciscans, the people they minister to and in collaboration with others to work for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation in the society. To achieve this objective the JPIC-Franciscans Africa office has been spearheading programs and activities aiming to promote social justice, human rights, environmental care programs.
Our office on several occasions has been approached to train Franciscans congregations, communities and groups on peace and justice. Recently the Franciscan congregations organized a novices training on peace, justice and on Laudato Si and invited our office director Sr. Mary Wangari Sebastian -LSSJ. The two days training which aimed at training franciscans especially the Novices from different congregations to be champions of social justice & peace and also to be the advocate for the care of our common home by propagating the Laudato Si message to all the people they encounter and also their communities.

The issues of Justice, peace and the care of creation, a training that brought together the aspects of living in peace, advocating for social justice in the society and being the light and voice of the society. This can be achieved through dialogue, Understanding, equality and respect and also by ending corruption.
Environmental care, Sr. Mary highlighted the role of each individual in environmental conservation and care and also the Laudato Si message which emphasizes on the care for the poor and of mother earth.
Youth and social justice advocacy , This was share by Augustine Muema highlighting what was happening in Kenya as young people had stormed the streets for more than one month calling for a good leadership, ending corruption and advocating for good services such as affordable education, health and also the the reduction of the high taxes and the 2024 finance bill.
