The gathering marked a pivotal moment in Africa’s climate movement as faith actors aligned their spiritual and social leadership toward a shared climate agenda ahead of COP30 in Brazil and the upcoming Africa Climate Summit.
Why amplify Faith Voices in the Climate justice advocacy
Faith leaders across Africa hold deep moral authority and grassroots influence. They are often the first responders to ecological crises in their communities and are uniquely positioned to advocate for just, inclusive climate policies. The roundtable emphasized the urgent need to amplify these voices especially from the African continent as global climate decisions continue to shape the lives of the most vulnerable.
