Climate Justice & Renewable Energy Solutions

JPIC Franciscans Africa has, since its establishment in 2008, been a committed advocate for environmental conservation as a path to peacebuilding and the sustainable stewardship of natural resources. We believe that caring for the earth is inseparable from caring for one another especially the most vulnerable among us.
Guided by Laudato Si’, Pope Francis’s powerful call to action, we approach climate change not only as an environmental crisis but as a profound moral challenge. The encyclical reminds us that environmental degradation and social inequality are deeply connected, and that the poor who contribute least to climate change often suffer its harshest consequences. Our work in climate justice and renewable energy solutions is rooted in the conviction that we are all stewards of creation. By promoting clean energy, restoring ecosystems, and empowering communities, we aim to protect the planet, reduce inequality, and build peaceful, resilient societies for generations to come
